Registered for the MS150

I just registered for the MS150 that is scheduled in McCall this August. I really need to get on some sort of bike to start training. I have not ridden anything since November. Have been keeping in shape playing basketball at Memorial Gym 3 or 4 times a week. I should have probably got out last week when the weather was real nice up here.

I am attempting typing on this while sitting on the couch with a laptop and a cat on my lap. Cat laying with her head on my right arm so that typing is rather interesting. Oreo is such a silly kitty.

Impending Doom

Nailed. Dead. Risen.

Intense death metal that the band likes to call "Gorship". Their way of worshiping God through gore sounding music. I get in moods where I like to listen to this late at night before going to bed. Nothing beats listening to cookie monster growls to get me ready for sleep.

Jesus you come to us in so many ways.
Through the Eucharist you heal.
Through the people we meet and live with.
Through the beauty of the world.
Help us to appreciate all that we are given.

Repent

The word for today is repent. Turning from old ways. Repentance means saying you are sorry and doing something about it. Not doing the same thing over again. I see this in a lot of things that I do in my life. Sinful patterns that I am so unable to give up that keep me from fully following the way of Jesus.

Thank you Jesus for loving us. Thanks for taking the cross that we created through sin. May we always follow the path that you lead.

Prayer for Josue

Lord of goodness, we bring Josue to you.
Through your hands, heal this child.
Remove the sickness from him.
Holy Spirit be with Josue and strengthen him.
Holy Spirit be with the doctors as they operate on him.
Holy Mother keep Josue safe and comfort his mother.
Saint Joseph help Josue to not be afraid and comfort his father.
